Winter Powwow




The Indian Summer Winter Powwow 2017 will be on March 11 & 12 at Wisconsin State Fair Park in the Products Pavilion.

Tickets are $8, Elders 60+ are $6 and children 12 and under are free.


Saturday, March 11 from 11am until 10pm.  Grand Entries at 1pm & 7pm.  Aztec Dancers perform at 5pm.


Sunday, March 12 – Prayer Ceremony at 10am.  General hours from 11am – 6pm. Aztec Dancers at 11:30am. Grand Entry at 1pm.


Your Emcee will be Dylan Prescott, your Arena Director will be Ronnie Preston, Head Veteran is Bully Tomaw and Host Drum Wazi Jaci.


The Indian Community School is sponsoring a special youth dance in honor of their “130 moons, 40 seasons, 10 years” celebration in September.  

Kids ages 6 – 12 can participate. Prize payouts are:


All Around Boys ages 6 – 12, 1st: $75, 2nd: $50, 3rd: $25


All Around Girls ages 6 – 12, 1st: $75, 2nd: $50, 3rd: $25


Kids can register Saturday afternoon with the special being held on Saturday evening.

The Indian Summer Music Awards (ISMA) will be at the Winter Powwow selling raffle tickets to raise funds for the annual awards show held at the Indian Summer festival in September.
